Samoa Declares Rugby Public Holidays

The Samoan Cabinet has approved the allocation of the afternoon of Thursday April 12 (commencing at 12 noon), and the entire day of Friday April 13, 2007 as a public holiday, to celebrate the recent victory of the national rugby team in Hong Kong.

Late last week (2007-04-06), the Samoan government had announced that it would declare a half day public holiday to honour its Sevens team's achievement in winning the Hong Kong Sevens rugby title.
