Angola Declares September 3 Public Holiday

The Angolan government has declared the observance of a one-off paid non-working public holiday on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, the last day of the current campaign for the September 5 legislative elections.

The date of Friday, September 5, 2008, was announced as the date of the upcoming Angolan legislative elections, last June (05-Jun-2008), and was subsequently also declared as a one-off paid non-working public holiday in Angola (01-Jul-2008).
