Angola Declares September 5 Public Holiday

The Angolan Council of Ministers has approved a Law-decree on the observance of a one-off public holiday on Friday, September 5, 2008, Election Day, in an extraordinary session of the Cabinet Council.

The date of the upcoming Angolan legislative elections was announced last month (05-Jun-2008) and at the time we had surmised that Friday, September 5, 2008, would eventually be declared a one-off public holiday in Angola.
