The President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) of Kuwait, Abdul Aziz Al-Zabin, announced the dates of the upcoming Eid al Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays in Kuwait.

Regardless of the duration of the current month of Ramadan, the de facto civil service public holidays will run from Tuesday, September 30, to Saturday, October 4, 2008, inclusively, and work will begin again on October 5th.

However, if the month of Ramadan lasts 29 days, the official public holidays will run from September 30 to October 3, with October 4 being a "recess day" rather than a public holiday. On the other hand, if the month of Ramadan lasts 30 days, the official public holidays will run from October 1-4, with September 30 being a recess day.
