Pakistan Announces December 26 Optional Public Holiday

Pakistan's Minister for Minorities Affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti, has announced an optional public holiday on Friday, December 26, 2008, for Christian government servants.
Note that the days immediately before and after that announced date are already public holidays by virtue of the public holiday for Quaid e-Azam's Birthday (December 25) and the first anniversary of the assassination of Benazir Bhutto (December 27, 2008-11-13).
