Zambia To Consider Adding June 23 Public Holiday Next Year

Zambia's President, Dr Mwanawasa, speaking ahead of the Africa Public Service Day, which falls today, regretted that commemoration of the day had not been brought to his government's attention in good time, otherwise it could have been declared a public holiday.

President Mwanawasa went on to say that this is an important day which can be observed as a public holiday in future.
