The Bangladesh National Moon Sighting Committee has announced that the Shab-e-Baraat would be observed on the evening of Thursday August 6, 2009.
This announcement thus confirms the previously announced date of the Shab-e-Qadr public holiday on Friday, August 7, 2009 (2009-01-19 and 2009-01-12).
