Sierra Leone Urged To Declare January 6 Public Holiday

Sierra Leone's national coordinator of the Coalition des organisations de la société civile, Charles Mambu, has indicated that he would soon re-iterate its call for the government of Sierra Leone to declare January 6 an annual commemorative public holiday.

This announcement was made at yesterday's 10th anniversary of the sacking of Freetown by RUF-led rebel forces.
