Earlier this morning, the President of the Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS), Salva Kiir Mayardit, has launched a clean-up operation of the GoSS capital, Juba, and declared the day a public holiday.
This last-minute, literally, declaration of a public holiday is in line with other recent declarations of public holidays in the GoSS (2009-11-08 and 2009-11-11).
