Bangladesh's Home Minister, Sahara Khatun, has announced that an inter-ministerial meeting had recommended to the government of Bangladesh that it extend the upcoming Eid-ul-Fiter (End of Ramadan) public holidays from three to five days.
A similar extension of the Eid-ul-Fiter public holidays was declared last year (2009-09-20).
