Macedonia Declares September 8-9 Public Holidays

The Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has issued a press release declaring Wednesday and Thursday, September 8-9, 2010, as official non-working public holidays.

The aforementioned public holiday on September 8 corresponds to the annual Macedonian Independence Day non-working public holiday, as per the 2007 Bill on Amending the Law on State Holidays (2007-02-08).

For its part, the upcoming, September 9, non-working public holiday corresponds to the Ramazan Bajram (End of Ramadan) public holiday, as specified in the official list of 2010 public holidays in Macedonia, released last fall (2009-10-26).
