Trinidad and Tobago Updates Carnival Public Holidays Status

Source: Trinidad and Tobago Government Portal (Port of Spain)
Posted: Thursday, August 5, 2010

The government of Trinidad and Tobago has published a revised set of footnotes, on the Trinidad and Tobago Government Portal, concerning the observance of the annual Carnival holidays.

The government of Trinidad and Tobago now lists the 2 days of Carnival holidays as de facto public holidays (Most businesses are closed on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, even though these days are not public holidays).

The aforementioned update follows last month's modification of the 2011 public holidays (2010-07-17).
