The Azeri Cabinet of Ministers has announced that there would be two non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan in May 2011.
As per the aforementioned announcement, and in line with the previously announced 2011 public holidays in Azerbaijan (2010-12-03), Monday, May 9, 2011, will be a public holiday commemorating the "victory over fascism".
In addition, as the annual, May 28, public holiday falls on Saturday in 2011, the first working day of the following week, Monday, May 30, 2011, will be considered a non-working public holiday in Azerbaijan.
