Bolivia's Minister of Labour, Felix Rojas, has announced that the upcoming May 1st annual public holiday had been moved to Monday, May 2, 2011 ("el feriado del 1 de mayo se trasladará al lunes 2 del mismo mes") due to May 1st falling on a Sunday.

Recall that, last year (2010-04-27), under similar circumstances, Bolivia's then Minister of Labour, Carmen Trujillo, had ruled-out declaring Monday, May 3, 2010, as an official public holiday to compensate the fact that May 1st fell on a Saturday in 2010.

In 2004, under similar circumstances, the Government of Bolivia had issued the Decreto Supremo 27468 making Monday, May 3, 2004, a one-off public holiday (2004-04-29).
