The government of Iraq has declared Tuesday and Wednesday, June 28 and 29, 2011, as one-off public holidays on account of the upcoming Prophet's Ascension
Despite the fact that Iraq overhauled its list of official public holidays, a couple of years ago (2008-02-08), such last-minute declarations are common (2010-12-13 and 2010-12-06).
