Ivory Coast Public Holiday Declared August 8

The Ivory Coast's ministry of public service has announced that Monday, August 8, 2011, had been declared a day in lieu non-working public holiday (jour férié chômé et payé) throughout the Ivory Coast.

The aforementioned announcement confirms that the new government of Alassane Ouattara (2011-02-15) intends to toe the line set by previous Ivory Coast public holidays legislation (article 24.2 du code du travail).
