Yesterday, the Latvian parliament (Saeima) once again rejected a bill declaring Orthodox Christmas as a public holiday.
A similar bill declaring Orthodox and Old Believers' Christmas as public holidays in Latvia was rejected in its third reading in the Saeima almost 3 years ago (2009-02-13).
