The government of Nepal has declared 3 days of public holidays, from Wednesday, October 26-28, 2011, on account of the current Tihar festival.

Note that, after a brief interval in 2000-2001 when a 2-day weekend was tried (13-Jan-2001), Nepal observes a 1-day weekend on Saturdays, meaning that Saturday, October 29, 2011, will also be a non-working day in Nepal.
