Paraguay's lower house of parliament (Cámara de Diputados) has in turn approved a bill declaring May 14 and 16, 2011, as additional bicentennial public holidays in Paraguay.

Last week (2011-04-29), the Paraguayan Senate approved a modified version of the multi-day bicentennial public holidays initiated earlier this year (2011-03-11 and 2011-04-13) and which would declare as public holidays the period from Saturday, May 14, until Monday, May 16, 2011, inclusively.

The final step for the aforementioned bill to become law is for Paraguay's President to sign it into law (or not).
