The government of Peru has declared a one-off public holiday on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, on account of the Third Summit of Heads of State and Government of South America and Arab Countries (ASPA) being held in Lima on that date.

The aforementioned public holiday, extending to all metropolitan Lima, as well as Callao, is similar in scope to those declared in 2008 for the EU/Latin America/Caribbean and APEC summits (2008-02-07).
