The Council of Ministers of Suriname has declared another annual national public holiday on February 25, beginning this year.
Late last month (2011-01-27), Suriname's Vice-President, Robert Ameerali, had hinted that February 25, the Day of the Revolution, was expected to be declared as another non-working national public holiday, at the following week's Council of Ministers meeting.
February 25 was a public holiday in Suriname from 1981 to 1987.
