Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, has signed a decree which abrogates the annual, November 22, Freedom Day holiday, which had once been a non-working public holiday in the Ukraine.

The aforementioned decree (On the Celebration of Some Dates and Professional Holidays) reverses the decree by former Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko who has issued a decree setting November 22 as an annual national holiday to mark the anniversary of the Orange Revolution, as well as declaring the first anniversary of the Orange Revolution as a non-working public holiday in the Ukraine (2005-11-21).
