The Armenian Government has announced that it had declared Monday, September 17, 2012, as another, one-off, non-working public holiday in Armenia on account of the upcoming Exaltation of the Cross feast.

Four years ago (2008-06-26), the Armenian Government began the practice of systematically declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (2010-04-01, 2010-07-09, 2010-08-13, and 2010-09-10).

As was done in similar cases (2012-07-06, 2012-06-23, 2012-04-18, 2012-04-06, and 2012-03-02), the aforementioned non-working public holiday of Monday, July 16, 2012, will be compensated by Saturday, September 29, 2012, being declared a regular working day in Armenia.
