Bermuda's Minister of Economy Trade and Industry, Patrice Minors, has announced that the Government of Bermuda had decided to keep the annual Labour Day non-working public holiday in September, rather than move it to May 1st.

The review by the Government of Bermuda of the date of the annual non-working public holiday for Labour Day was made at the behest of the Bermuda Trade Union Congress (2012-01-22).

Contrary to the Heroes' Day and Queen's Birthday public holidays which were often moved around (2007-09-19, 2008-03-16, 2009-05-09, and 2009-05-24), the Bermuda Labour Day public holiday has remain fixed in September for decades.
