Cambodia's Prime Minister has signed the Cambodian Royal Government's sub-decree Nº 186 establishing Cambodia's list of official non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2013.

As per custom (2011-10-16, 2010-09-03, 2009-08-25, 2008-09-22 and 2007-08-03), the aforementioned decree stipulates that "[for] any public holidays which overlap with either Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday will be substituted".

The list of official public holidays for 2013 in Cambodia once again includes the June 1st, "International and Cambodian Children's Day", which was introduced a couple of years ago (2010-09-03).

Additionally, the aforementioned decree redesignates October 23 as a non-working public holiday in Cambodia to commemorate the Paris Peace Agreements of 1991, as well as a new October 15 non-working public holiday to mark the death of the King Father.

The October 23 non-working public holiday in Cambodia had previously been canceled in the mid-2000's (2005-09-15) in order to promote January 7 as National Liberation Day, which marks the toppling of the Khmer Rouge in 1979.
