China 2012 Ramadan Public Holidays

The Chinese provinces of Qinghai and Xinjiang have declared a 3-day regional public holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan).

As per the aforementioned announcements, the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) will be observed by a 3-day period of public holidays from Sunday, August 19, to Tuesday, August 21, 2012. In addition, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has also declared 3 days of public holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan).

The declaration of regional public holidays (2009-03-26) and 2010-08-20) and municipal public holidays (2011-07-22, 2010-09-29, 2010-08-20, 2010-04-02, and 2008-08-06) is a relatively recent trend in China.
