The government of Gabon has announced that Tuesday, April 17, 2012, would be a non-working public holiday (journée déclarée chômée et payée) to commemorate Gabon's Women's Day public holiday.
The aforementioned announcement is in line with the 2004 amendments (2004-05-26) to Gabon's public holidays legislation (the "Décret, n°000484/PR/MTE du 26 mai 2004, portant modification de l'article 2 du décret n°000727/PR/MTEFP du 2 Juin 1998").
