The government of Guinea Conakry has finally announced the full list of 2012 non-working public holidays (jours chômés et payés) in the Republic of Guinea Conakry.
The aforementioned announcement, most importantly, specified the 2012 dates of the 4 annual Muslim non-working public holidays of Guinea Conakry: Le Maouloud (The Prophet's Birthday), Lailatoul Qadr, Korité (End of Ramadan), and Tabaski (Feast of Sacrifice).
Interestingly, in 2012, the date of the Lailatoul Qadr non-working public holiday is the same as that of the Assumption. It is therefore possible that an additional non-working public holiday will be declared on Tuesday, August 14, or Thursday, August 16, 2012, as had been done late last year in the case of the Independence Day public holiday (2011-10-02), in particular as this was not repeated earlier this year for the Prophet's Birthday (2012-02-03).
