The government of Guyana has announced that the upcoming Youmun Nabi, birth anniversary of the Prophet, public holiday, would be observed as a non-working public holiday on Sunday, February 5, 2012.
The aforementioned announcement comes shortly after the announcement by Guyana's Central Islamic Organisation (CIOG.) that the Muslim month of Rabiul-Awal had begun.
