Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly has released the recently-approved the list of official public holidays in Iran for the Persian year 1391, running from March 20, 2012, to March 19, 2013.

The announced list of official public holidays is the same as in recent years (2011-03-05, 2010-03-16, 2009-03-04, 2008-03-11, and 2007-03-08), and the published list mainly moves a few public holidays based on the Islamic Calendar to the following day.

This time, however the variance in the dates of Iranian public holidays based on the Muslim calendar, as compared to Saudi Arabia's Umm al Qora calendar, are far fewer.

For the 7th year in a row, the list of official public holidays in Iran still includes all five annual public holidays meant to have been canceled in 2005 by Iran's Majles Social Committee (2005-08-18).
