Liberian Public Holidays March 14 and 15

The President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has issued two proclamations declaring the consecutive days of Wednesday, March 14, and Thursday, March 15, 2012, respectively, as national public holidays to be observed throughout the country.

As per custom on these last-minute re-confirmations of annual public holidays (2012-02-07, 2011-11-26, 2011-11-01, 2011-04-06, 2010-11-03, 2010-07-23 and 2010-04-08), the Foreign Ministry release states that "the Proclamation orders all Government Offices, Public and Business Houses be closed in observance of the day".
