The Malaysian Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan, has announced that Wednesday, April 11, 2012, has been declared as a one-off non-working national public holiday throughout Malaysia.

As per the aforementioned announcement, the April 11, 2012, one-off non-working national public holiday corresponds to the day when the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, will be installed as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King of Malaysia).
