The Government of Nigeria's State of Edo has announced that Monday, November 12, 2012, would be a one-off non-working state public holiday in Edo state "to enable the public to attend the Swearing-In Ceremony of Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole into his second tenure".

Similar one-off state public holidays are relatively common in Nigeria (08-Jul-2012, 09-Jun-2012, 25-Apr-2012, and 09-Apr-2012).
