Romania's Prime Minister, Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, has announced that Monday, April 30, 2012, would be declared a one-off bridge public holiday, to link the weekend of April 28-29 with the annual May 1st Labour Day non-working public holiday.
Late last week (2012-04-20), the Romanian Government had announced that it was considering whether to declare Monday, April 30, 2012, as a one-off bridge public holiday, as it did a few years ago (2007-04-25).
As per the aforementioned announcement, the Monday, April 30, 2012, one-off bridge public holiday will be restricted to the public sector (ie. employees of the state).
