The Conselleria de Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya has published the list of 2013 non-working public holidays (calendario laboral) in Spain's Autonomous Region of Cataluña.
The aforementioned list of 2013 public holidays in Spain's Autonomous Region of Cataluña is contained in the "EMO/185/2012, de 22 de juny, per la qual s'estableix el calendari oicial de festes laborals per a l'any 2013" (Diari Oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Núm. 6159 del 28.6.2012).
For the calendar year 2013, the Autonomous Region of Cataluña has declared regional public holidays on September 11 (Diada Nacional de Catalunya) and on December 26 (Sant Esteve), as had already been the case last year (2011-05-16).
The 2011 regional public holiday for Whitmonday was not repeated in 2013, but the June 24 (Sant Joan) regional public holiday, which had been omitted last year as its date fell on a Sunday, was restored for 2013.
As per custom (2010-05-31 and 2009-06-05), Cataluña is the only Spanish region that does not observe Maundy Thursday as a public holiday, opting, instead, to declare Easter Monday (Dilluns de Pasqua) as a regional public holiday.
