Sudan's President, Omer Al-Bashir, has issued a presidential decree declaring May 31st as a new annual non-working public holiday in Sudan to commemorate the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD), signed in Doha on May 31st, 2011.

The aforementioned new annual non-working public holiday in Sudan will take effect in 2013, whose list of official public holidays is expected to be released at the end of this year, based on past years' announcements (27-Dec-2011).
