This follows last week's (2012-01-11) declaration by the Thai Government of Monday, January 23, 2012, the date of the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, as a regional public holiday in Southern Thailand, which already enjoys a regional public holiday for Eidilfitri (End of Ramadan).
