The recent decree ("On the celebration of Kurban Bairam") declaring 3 consecutive days of non-working public holidays in Turkmenistan on account of the upcoming Kurban Bairam (Feast of Sacrifice) has been extended by one day; Monday, October 29, 2012, which will also be a non-working public holiday in Turkmenistan.

Earlier this week (2012-10-24), Turkmenistan's President, Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov, had signed a decree declaring 3 consecutive days of non-working public holidays in Turkmenistan on account of the upcoming Kurban Bairam (Feast of Sacrifice), a decree which failed to mention what was to happen as one of the 3 aforementioned days on non-working public holidays fell on a Sunday.

The recent End of Ramadan public holiday was similarly extended (2012-08-14) when President Berdimuhammadov signed a decree ("On the transfer of the day off on the occasion of Oraza-Bayram") declaring Monday, August 20, 2012, as another one-off non-working public holiday in Turkmenistan.
