In a separate statement, the UAE's Minister of Education, Chairman of Board of Directors of the Federal Authority for Human Resources, Humaid Mohamed Al Qattami, issued a circular stating that the public sector holiday for the upcoming Milad Al Nabi (Prophet's Birthday) would also be on Saturday, February 4, 2012, in line with the Cabinet decree No. 13 of 2010 and the federal cabinet resolution no. 11 of 2008 ("A public holiday shall not be transferred or compensated if it falls on a public holiday or at the weekend").

Recall that, last year (2011-01-31), the public holiday for the Prophet's Birthday was moved from February 15 to Thursday, February 17, 2011, for all ministries and federal bodies.
