The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has called on the government of Zimbabwe to declare March 8 an annual non-working public holiday in Zimbabwe to commemorate International Women's Day.
A few years ago (2007-03-07), neighboring Zambia had declared March 8 an annual non-working public holiday in Zambia to commemorate International Women's Day.
