Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has made its annual year-end public holidays announcement, whereby the period of Tuesday, December 31, 2013, to Monday, January 6, 2014, inclusively, has been declared as official non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of the upcoming annual "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis" and "Western New Year" public holidays.
The aforementioned declaration of the period of Tuesday, December 31, 2013, to Monday, January 6, 2014, inclusively, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, thus amends the official list of 2013 non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, which was published late last year (2012-12-18) which itself was based on the current labour law of Azerbaijan as it relates to the list of official non-working public holidays (2005-12-30).
The additional non-working public holidays thus announced for Friday, January 3, and Monday, January 6, 2014, will be compensated by Saturday and Sunday, December 28 and 29, 2013, being declared as regular working days in Azerbaijan.
