Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta (House of Fatwa) has announced that Thursday, August 8, 2013, would be the first day of the month of Shawwal and hence the first day of the Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in Egypt.
In addition, as the second day of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays in Egypt falls on a day of the Egyptian weekend, we can expect Egypt's Central Bank to announce that all Egyptian banks will be closed on the next working day, Sunday, August 11, 2013, which would be declared a bank holiday in Egypt.
