Guinea Conakry's president, Alpha Condé, has issued a decree which finally sets the date for the long-delayed legislative elections in Guinea Conakry on September 24, 2013.

The aforementioned upcoming legislative elections in Guinea Conakry were originally announced for December 29, 2011 (2011-09-17), until the CENI announced (2013-04-15) that legislative elections in Guinea Conakry would occur on June 30, 2013.

Although the aforementioned communique by the CENI did not mention that September 24, 2013, would be a one-off electoral public holiday in Guinea Conakry, it is widely expected to be so, based on past record (2010-12-13).
