The Government of Hungary has announced the list of official non-working public holidays in Hungary for the calendar year 2014, based upon the recommendation of the Hungarian National Economy Minister, Varga Mihály.
As has been the case for the last few years (2012-11-22, 2012-09-07, 2011-10-15, 2010-11-21, 2009-09-29, 2008-07-22, 2007-11-20, and 2006-09-12), the aforementioned announcement ("A nemzetgazdasági miniszter 33/2013. (VIII. 30.) NGM rendelete a 2014. évi munkaszüneti napok körüli munkarendrol") includes the list of bridge, and other one-off, public holidays for the calendar year 2014, along with the list of Saturdays that will be regular working days, in compensation.
The aforementioned applies to both the private and public sectors ("E rendelet hatálya kiterjed minden munkáltatóra és az általuk foglalkoztatottakra").
