The government of Kazakhstan has released the official list of non-working public holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the calendar year 2013.
The aforementioned announcement confirms the days in lieu public holidays that will be declared in 2013 to compensate annual public holidays that fall on a weekend, including the tricky cases of 2-day public holidays, such as Western New Year, and the Independence Day public holidays, as well as the 3-day Nowruz public holidays in March.
Contrary to last year (2012-02-17), but in line with previous years (2011-01-14) the announced list of non-working public holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the calendar year 2013 does not specify the date of the Kurban-Eid (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday
The cancellation of the October 25 public holiday, officialized 4 years ago (2009-04-25 and 2009-03-04) is re-confirmed, and the new, May 7, Homeland Defender Day, annual non-working public holiday in Kazakhstan (2012-10-19) is also confirmed, without, for the moment, a bridge public holiday to link this May 7 public holiday with the annual May 9 public holiday.
