The government of Kiribati has announced its list of official non-working public holidays for the 2013 calendar year.
As usual (2011-10-28, 2010-12-19 and 2010-01-03), the traditional week long public holidays in July, are composed of 4 distinct public holidays, and days in lieu, as specified in the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2005 (No. 14 of 2005)" (An Act To Amend The Public Holidays Ordinance) (2005-12-30).
The dates of the October and early December Kiribati public holidays seem to follow a new tend that was begun last year and which deviates from the precepts of the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2005 (No. 14 of 2005)".
