Macedonian 2013 Public Holidays Confirmed

Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MTSP) has confirmed the list of non-working public holidays in Macedonia for the calendar year 2013.

As usual (2011-11-03, 2010-10-22 and 2009-10-26), the aforementioned announcement follows the 2007 Bill on Amending the Law on State Holidays (2007-02-08), with the always possible addition of last-minute public holidays, most commonly the frequent tree planting public holidays (2012-11-15, 2011-11-22, 2011-03-28, 2010-11-17, 2010-03-28, 2009-11-12, 2008-11-18, and 2008-03-12).

In addition to the 11 general public holidays listed in the aforementioned announcement, there are sectorial holidays that may be taken by: citizens of Orthodox religion, Catholic religion, Muslim religion, the Albanian community, the Serb community, the Roma community, the Vlach community, the Jewish community, the Bosniak community, and the Turkish community.
