Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that Sunday, September 8, 2013, had been declared a non-working public holiday for all the citizens of Macedonia on account of the upcoming Independence Day.
The aforementioned statement goes on to state that Monday, September 9, 2013, would be an additional non-working public holiday, due to the annual non-working public holiday of September 8 falling on a Sunday in 2013.
The above are in line with the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's official list of 2013 public holidays in Macedonia, as published at the end of last year (2012-12-03) and confirmed (2013-01-01) earlier this year, and, more generally with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and Br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (2007-02-08).
