The Sultan of Malaysia's State of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has announced that the State of Selangor would not also change the his State's weekend to Fridays and Saturdays.

The aforementioned announcement seems to be in response to last month's announcement (23-Nov-2013) by the Sultan of Malaysia's State of Johor, Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, that, beginning on January 1st, 2014, the Malaysian Sate of Johor would revert to a Friday/Saturday weekend, as it did, before 1994, thus joining 3 other Malaysian states (Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu) in observing a "semi-Universal" Friday/Saturday weekend.
