The government of Moldova has extended its previously-announced official list of annual non-working public holidays in Moldova for the calendar year 2013.
As usual, the previously-announced (2012-11-14) list of non-working public holidays in Moldova for the calendar year 2013 did not include any bridge public holidays which are usually announced later, on a case-by-case basis (2012-04-11, 2012-02-22, 2011-02-18, 2010-08-10, 2009-12-04 and 2008-12-10) to be compensated by a nearby Saturday being declared a regular working day in Moldova.
When the 2013 public holidays in Moldova were announced last year, we had stated that, based on precedent, we could expect one-off bridge public holidays to be declared on Monday, December 31, 2012, Friday, May 10, 2013, and Monday, August 26, 2013.
